Seamar Records End of Year 2009 TRIR of .67
HOUSTON (Jan 1, 2010) – Seamar, a leading provider of subsea construction and inspection services to the domestic and international oil and gas industries operating in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and select global markets, announced today an end of year 2009 TRIR of .67.
Seamar's three-year average TRIR, or total recordable incident rate, is a well-respected .33 – approximately 80% below the industry standard accepted by the commercial diving industry. “Our commitment to safety continues to pay dividends that can be directly attributed to the health and safety of our offshore personnel,” states Eloy Anaya, President of Seamar.
TRIR is a key safety metric reported on a quarterly and annual basis used by the offshore industry to help identify safe subsea construction and inspection service providers.
