Seamar Concludes Successful ROV Operations on Chevron Genesis Spar

HOUSTON (August 1, 2008) - Seamar, a leading provider of subsea construction , inspection and offshore or inland fabrication services to the domestic and international oil and gas industries operating in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and select Latin American markets, announced today the successful completion of ROV operations aboard the Chevron Genesis Spar located in Green Canyon 205A.

Seamar‘s observation class ROVs assisted with the installation of a riser at a water depth in excess of 550 ft. as well as performed a comprehensive pre-storm survey of the spar structure. “Overall, Chevron was pleased with the performance of our ROVs and as a company, Seamar is very interested in expanding our ROV fleet to include inspection class ROVs and possibly work class as well,” said LuisMartinez, Seamar’s General Manager of U.S. and Mexico Operations.
